Aerodynamic Paragliding School

About the school

Teaching flight in Pokhara, without the borrowed story.

The pages below are ready for the school’s own history, people, and sites. Where those facts are not confirmed, the gap is left visible.

Our story

A new school, still introducing itself.

Aerodynamic Paragliding School is a new paragliding school based in Pokhara, Nepal. The founding story — who started it, and why this valley — will be published here in the school’s own words before launch.

What we can say now is the intent. The school exists to teach paragliding in a way that is calm, structured, and honest about the risks of free flight. Confidence is a result of understanding, not a slogan.

Training philosophy

Small steps, clearly explained.

A student should know what they are practising and why. Briefings stay specific. Skills are repeated until they are familiar. Questions are part of the session, not a delay to it.

We separate curiosity from readiness. Wanting to fly a long glide, or to leave the ridge, is not the same as being prepared to do it. Programmes are outlines of that progression, not a promise that everyone will complete it.

Safety

The decision on the ground matters as much as the flight.

Paragliding asks for attention to weather, terrain, equipment, and your own state of mind. Our approach is to treat those checks as the lesson. A day that ends without a flight can still be a day of training.

We do not publish accident rates, pass rates, or certification claims. Those figures will appear only if they are real, current, and explained. Until then, ask us how a training day is run and we will describe the actual plan.

Instructors and team

Profiles will be added when they are confirmed.

This section is intentionally empty of names. Instructor biographies, licences, and affiliations will be published one person at a time, after the school has confirmed them.

If you are enquiring now, ask who would be teaching. We would rather answer that directly than invent a team for the website.

Pokhara

A city with a lake, a ridge, and a range behind it.

Pokhara sits beside Phewa Lake, below the Annapurna range. Sarangkot, on the ridge above the city, is one of the best-known paragliding launches in the world. Pilots come for the view and for the reliable rhythm of the season — and still cancel a flight when the day is wrong.

Autumn and spring are the periods most visiting pilots aim for. That is a pattern, not a guarantee. The school is based here. The exact training hills and landing fields we use will be named only once they are confirmed, so this page does not imply we operate from a site we have not stated.
